I attended the yearly Stampin’ Up! convention 2009 in Salt Lake City in early August. There are many reason I enjoy going to the convention. One of them is all the project ideas. Stampin’ Up! posts boards with projects to inspire us to try new things. These pictures are from art boards posted under really bright lights so some of the pictures maybe a bit blurry – sorry. I learn so much from reviewing the project boards that I would like to share some of those ideas with you. I’ll be posting a project idea once a day for the next few weeks. Enjoy!

This project is using the Sweet Season stamp set (#116471) I’ve been highliting the last couple of days. I’m sure you are seeing the versatility of this stamp set. This project is using white craft ink. All you have to do is stamp a sheet of Real Red card stock, let it dry and then cut it down to fit the sack. A really easy project to do multiples at the same time. Hey, what a thoughtful gift this would make for someone. For those of you looking for fund-raisers, creative gift containers sell well. Let me know if you need some help with your fund raiser. I’ll be happy to contribute some of my commission to the cause.
We all need gift bags for the holidays and winter gift giving. Make these up in advance to have them on hand. The last thing you need to do is run around wrapping or purchasing the same old gift sacks from the store. Trust me you will be so glad you did.

We are a generation of multi-taskers. We are on the go. We talk on the cell phone while waiting in line for our coffee. We type notes on our laptops while waiting for doctor’s appointments. We busily jot down ideas on napkins while we are at our child’s soccer games.
As women and as mothers we are great at using every moment we have to the best of our abilities. Why not apply those talents we have into a second income? Combining our talent for getting things done and our love for crafting is easy to multi-task our way into an extra income.
Here are seven ways we can use those lag times to generate interest in Stampin’ Up, to learn more about the business and to network.
#7 – Brainstorm. We all know those ideas which are the best ideas come to us at the strangest times. During a soccer game, waiting in the grocery checkout line and while we wait for the child’s dentist appointment are moments when we can brainstorm and plan stamping and scrapbook ideas. Be prepared by keeping a notebook and pen in your bag. You may just jot down a sentence or you may be able to outline a whole idea. You never know what your brain will come up with!
#6 – Connect with customers. With everyone having cell phones it is easy to use a few of those extra moments to connect with customers. Make a few phone calls as follow ups. Book parties with new hosts. Keep in touch with previous guests and customers. You can schedules classes or invite customers to an open house.
#5 – Plan your next workshop. Get out your notebook and work out the details for your next workshop. You can make list of the project you want to demonstrate. List what you will need, who you will invite. You can make a detail list right down to the deadlines you need to work within.
#4 – Review techniques or learn new ones. Bring along a copy of Stampin’ Success®, Stampin’ Up’s monthly newsletter. It is filled with techniques, ideas and tips. Learn the latest. Bring along older editions to brush up on techniques from past issues.
#3 – Plug into your iPod. Stampin’ Up has audio resources available for download. Put these on your iPod or MP3 player. You can listen to them when you are waiting for an appointment, when you are exercising or even in your car. You will pick up techniques and tips for stamping and scrapbooking as well as for your business.
#2 – Network with others. While you are at a soccer practice or game, at the doctor’s office or waiting in line at the grocery store, be prepared to network with other parents and women. You never know where a potential Stampin’ Up customer may be lurking. Having your business card, mini catalog and information at your finger tips is a must.
#1 – Plan a Mom-time project. Are there moms you see at every event, such as soccer, dance or scouts? Ask them if they would be interested in a Mom-time project. See what kind of project they are interested in and help them plan it. Make it an event for the moms of the group.
Where ever you are, whatever you are doing you can turn it into a Stampin’ Up moment. As a Stampin’ Up demonstrator you can share your talent and your love of crafting with others. Help others get their creative flow. Show them how to preserve the memories of their kids with stamps and scrapbooks. You can show them how they can make money with Stampin’ Up as well.
It is even easier to share your love of crafting when Stampin’ Up is offering a mini-starter kit. For those looking for a small startup cost in these tight times, this is the answer. For an extremely low price you get the For All You Do Stamp Kit, 6 different colored stamp pads and a variety of white and colored card stock.
This “mini” kit is far from mini when it comes to the ideas which can be generated. Think of all those times when you wanted to make up a card for someone special in your life who is just always there and doing for you. You can use the stamps in page layouts for scrapbook pages for Moms, Dads and all those special people in your life. The ideas are endless.
All that and you will be joining the Stampin’ Up family and earning money while you are at your child’s soccer game. Stamping and scrapbooking are so easy to share. Everyone wants to be a part of preserving memories and passing on good cheer through cards. Take advantage of the mini-starter kit and get started today!

Everyone is watching how their money is being spent, right down to the last penny. Times are tight and many of us are preparing for it to get tighter. You may think that joining the Stampin’ Up! family is something that is beyond the budget right now. There are a few things you may want to consider before you make this decision.
The customizable starter demonstrator kit is full of great useable products. This kit would retail for over $335. It usually sells for $199. Now that is a great deal right there, isn’t it? Well Stampin’ Up! makes it an even sweeter deal for 15% off that at a cost of $169. This offer is available until March 31, 2009. Make the deal even sweeter? Do you think they can? Why of course they can. For just $50 more you can add scrapbooking. This includes papers and stamp specifically designed for the scrapbook lover.
Top that all off with free shipping? That is quite a bargain in such a tight economy. You are not only getting stamps and scrapbook supplies, but you are getting the keys to a great career.
So what if the deal could be even sweeter? What would you say if you could start a business or just get great supplies for free? That always gets attention. Until March 25, 2009, I am offering just that. The deal is for any non-demonstrator that holds a catalog party and then purchases the demonstrator kit.
Want details?
Between March 1 and March 25th if you hold a catalog party I will be putting the 20% commission from the party towards your demonstrator kit. Now remember there is a sale on the demonstrator kits, so it will not take long at all to meet the goal of getting the free kit. What a great deal!
Now you are thinking, but I don’t want to give classes or sell products. When you join my team, CraftyPerson, you don’t have to sell a thing if you don’t want to. You can just benefit from the class information, a discount on The Inspiration Club, monthly e-Newsletters and direct one-on-one support. As a member of the Stampin’ Up! family you will also receive 20% off all of your future orders.
Having a catalog party during this time frame gives you a lot of advantages besides the sale. Stampin’ Up! has quality stamps and products. You can share these great products with family and friends. Having a catalog party will help you start your customer base. Remember with a catalog party you can show anyone a catalog you may know. It doesn’t have to be someone who can make it to your home on a certain day. With a catalog party you can also invite friends and family to order who don’t live close to you. All of these people can become potential clients for your future business.
While our budgets are tight we all still like to do things that we enjoy. Stamping and scrapbooking are enjoyable hobbies, but they also give us, our families and future generations something in exchange for our time. Preserving our memories and those of our families is a hobby that is priceless. Taking the time to put our memories into beautiful albums embellished with the written documentation of that memory is something that will be passed down farther than just us.
Taking advantage of this great offer is a wonderful way to get started putting your memories in albums. If you are familiar with scrapbooking and rubberstamping it is a great way to add to your collection and learn the newest techniques. It is also a great way to start a career helping people to preserve the memories of their lifetimes for future generations. For further details contact Debbie McNeill. Schedule your catalog party early to take advantage of this great offer while it is still available.
